Journal #9: Who Do The Mooshu?

Nat: "That's the skinny, Chief."
With all the Marleybone quests out of the way, Natalie was sent to Mooshu to try to recover the Key to Dragonspyre before Malistaire could get it. (Spoilers: She's one step behind the warlock again...)

So she and Christina worked together to get through the Hamatsu Village section and stop a violent civil war from occurring. Enemies were starting to get much tougher - one boss tossed a Fire Kraken our way! Thankfully Christina took the brunt of enemy attacks.

That didn't mean that Nat gave up on non-combat activities. Oh no, far from it when the Catch of the Day was a Grape Jellyfish - Natalie fished out the entire Crimson Fields. ^_^

The War Oni was taken out in one shot, especially since the mook ninja pig threw up a Tower Shiled on it to make Christina's Sandstorm too weak on it.

With War Oni in hand, Natalie got her school quest done and got the Empower spell, which she added the new Satyr spell to since she hit Level 40 and was promoted to Master Necromancer.

Anyways, now that Natalie was a Master Necromancer, several new adventures opened up:

Did you ever have an awkward screenshot? :(

She first helped the Professor stop another attempt by the Maestro to ruin the history of the Spiral by preventing him from taking over the Death School teaching position and fought alongside her mentor Dworgyn...

Then I decided to burn that Baddle of the Bands house item I bought for her. I had to do Tier 3 because I wanted the equipment, but it was sub-par and Natalie got her first taste of Second Arc battle mechanics. She nearly died in the last battle, but all in all, she did well and got her permanent pet, the Rockin' Roller, and it was a Death pet, sweet! (I'm from Texas so I love armadillos. ^_^)

Nat: "You don't mind if I fish here, Mr/ Bones? Nothing personal." :)

Then she had to go back to Marleybone to help rescue the Queen of Marleybone from a mad scientist in Barkingham Palace, which she got to explore at long last. She also caught the rare special fish from this area, she got two of them in fact.

I sort of made a mistake and thought the West Wing Wood Key door was the chest one, but it was the secret boss, Billy the I-love-spamming-gimmick-Frost-Giants Cutter. Many potions were used. X(

And the Chief Whip used his gimmick Rebirth in BOTH battles he was in. Luckily, Scarecrow cares jack **** about Absorbs, but Rebirth also revives people so I had to deal with the allies again. X(

The final part, the airship, wasn't too bad but Dr. Jackall transformed to Mr. Hound THREE TIMES, one which was out of turn, and Nataline and Christina ate a Lava Lord. I had to resort to Level 70 Henchmen to save my bacon, but all in all, it ended pretty decently once the Layton Scratchers were taken out of the picture.

Nothing really great dropped except this hat, which is slightly better in the stats I needed than the Senator's Mantle. Yes, I lose resist from three schools but I get more HP and school damage, which I really really needed right now. And Nat looks like a British soldier, which will be her look until I get those special clothes for her.

I was going to make it a New Year's special, but I got busy with my PSVita and that took a lot of time, so by the time I got this up it was past New Year's Day. See you later!
